Actor Stephen Baldwin has been fined $500 (£313) after pleading guilty to a traffic infraction.
The Usual Suspects star was charged with driving on a suspended licence following an arrest in New York in May (14).
Baldwin insisted he had no idea he had been banned from driving and subsequently discovered local authorities had suspended his permit as a result of his $400,000 (£250,000) tax debt, which he had paid off just days before.
In June (14), he pleaded not guilty to counts of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree and unlicensed driving, but he recently reached a deal with prosecutors and returned to a Manhattan court on Friday (31Oct14) to settle the case.
He changed his plea to guilty and, in exchange, the misdemeanour charges against him were reduced to an infraction.
His attorney Richard Southard tells the New York Post, "Mr. Baldwin is happy to have cleared up his license in this case and is looking forward to focusing on his work."
