A Christian group has come to the aid of bankrupt actor Stephen Baldwin - a website has been set up to allow fans to donate money to restore his wealth.
The born-again Christian filed for bankruptcy last year (09) after he racked up more than $2.3 million (£1.4 million) worth of debt, stemming from several mortgages, tax bills and credit card accounts.
Now a new website, set up by devoted Christian Lyn Fletcher, aims to ease Baldwin's financial burdens by encouraging public donations which will be paid directly into his bank account.
Restorestephenbaldwin.org was set up with permission from the President of Baldwin's ministries, and his spiritual adviser, Daniel Southern.
A statement posted on the site, reads, "Stephen Baldwin of the famous Baldwin Brothers Hollywood clan... is no stranger to the Hollywood life of glitz, glamour and the public eye. However, because of (his religious) convictions it has caused him the loss of many jobs and most recently, a highly publicised bankruptcy.
"He has been publicly ridiculed and insulted by people who think that he has been abandoned by God. A simple search through the internet will reveal that people not only mock Stephen, but mock God.
"Our vision is to see Stephen Baldwin publicly restored in front of millions. Stephen's platform will increase allowing him to reach even more people with the Gospel and God will get all of the glory. Publicly."
