Stella Mccartney is to launch her own children's line.
The designer - who has already created two junior ranges for Gap - will launch Stella McCartney Kids in a November, with a capsule collection which pays homage to her ethical values and signature modern style.
She said: "As a brand with many working parents in the team, I wanted to create a desirable, fun, wearable kids collection that was affordable. I feel like all the timeless children's wear is reserved for the expensive brands and that did not sit well with me, kids and parents, aunts, uncles, friends, should all be able to have access to Stella McCartney Kids clothes. We have tried to make that possible in this first collection, and hope it is enjoyed!"
The clothes will be aimed at boys and girls aged from 0 to 12 and are made from the best possible fabrics for style and practicality.
The collection will mainly be distributed online with the worldwide launch of dedicated website www.stellamccartneykids.com, which will ship to 200 countries.
As well as unique shopping experiences, the site has a dedicated 'playground section', which invites children and parents to interact with one another on the site.
The clothes will also be available from Stella McCartney stores in London, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Milan, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Dubai, Qatar and Kuwait.
