A Belgian fast food chain, Quick, has launched two new Star Wars themed burgers. The "Dark Vader Burger" consists of two beef burger patties, with cheese, lettuce and sauce (sounds normal so far.) inside a bread roll that has been dyed jet black. As black as Darth Vader himself. A report today (January 6, 2012) from the Huffington Post says that any customers wishing not to turn to the dark side during their lunch hour can, instead opt for the "Jedi Burger" with the more traditional white bread bun.

The burgers have landed in the fast food chain to coincide with the promotion of the 3D reissue of The Phantom Menace. The 3D version of George Lucas' blockbuster, starring Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor and Natalie Portman, is set for release in February 2012. A trailer of the new version was released in October 2011, highlighting all of the scenes that are likely to look best in 3D, including some legendary light-sabre fighting between Darth Maul, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn.

Despite the fact that Darth Vader's character doesn't actually appear in The Phantom Menace, this novel burger, only available until 1st March 2012, is certainly turning heads.
