Fans of the film series around the world celebrate an unofficial holiday on 4 May (15) as the date sounds similar to Star Wars catchphrase 'May the force be with you', and Britain's Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne used the day to announce the next movie will also be filmed in Britain.

Osborne tweeted, "Pleased to announce #StarWarsVIII will be filmed here in UK @PinewoodStudios - great news for @starwars fans & our UK creative industries."

The latest movie in the series, Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, was filmed at Britain's iconic Pinewood Studios, which has been home to the James Bond franchise and the Indiana Jones films.
