Star Trek actor Patrick Stewart has blasted London theatre audiences for wolf-whistling at his muscular physique.

The 64-year-old and co-star DAWSON'S CREEK heart-throb Joshua Jackson frequently strip down to their underwear in the West End show A LIFE IN THE THEATRE.

But the veteran actor was furious with the audience's responded at a preview show.

Stewart says, "I have no problem stripping off on stage. People have a kind of bashfulness around film sets but it's just what you do in the theatre.

"The only problem is when people start reacting to it. In one of the previews someone wolf-whistled. It's just silly."
