Broadway's beleaguered Spider-Man musical is getting a boost - veteran director PAUL BOGAEV has been hired to help with the show's sound and arrangements.
The theatre guru has been recruited to work with U2 stars Bono and The Edge on the music featured in Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, which has attracted headlines over repeated delays, on-set accidents and negative reviews.
Bogaev previously worked with Sir Elton John on Aida and Phil Collins for Tarzan, and was musical director on Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's Starlight Express and Sunset Boulevard.
News of Bogaev joining the production as a consultant comes just a day after a spokesperson denied reports producers were looking for a co-director to help Julie Taymor helm the controversial show.
Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark is scheduled to officially open on Broadway on 15 March (11).
