The 33-year-old rapper is set to release her third full length record - titled 'tantil before i breathe.' - later this month, and has now revealed plans to accompany the LP with a cook book and memoir entitled 'tantil before i breathe: a cookbook and memoir by Speech Debelle'.
In a statement written on her website, Speech - real name Corynne Elliot - says ''music and food are art'' which she believes go hand in hand as they both ''heal and inspire''.
She said: ''I've been an open book since the beginning, it made sense to put that into something tangible. I've experienced so much in my career that I wanted to share some of the stories. These are the lessons I've learnt about the business and myself; the journey with the two has been parallel.
''The healing happens when we're ready. There'll be that one lover that'll show you what you need to show yourself. The conversation you've been waiting your whole life to have with your mother or father without even knowing it. That look in the mirror one day when you see yourself as beautiful. Your skin, bones and soul.''
Speech first rose to prominence in 2009 when she bagged the Mercury Music Prize for her debut album 'Speech Therapy', despite being considered an outsider at the time.
After releasing her second album 'Freedom of Speech' in 2012, the 'Go Then, Bye' hitmaker stepped away from the music scene in order to ''grow and develop her other passions'', including cooking.
She appeared on cooking competition 'Celebrity Masterchef' in 2013, where she managed to become one of the final five contestants before she was kicked out after creating a vegetarian meal.
Speech Debelle's cook book will be available as a digital download, and is to be released at the same time as her album on March 17 2017.
