Brooklyn, NY. Early 2013. Leeds-born, U.S.-based rock outfit Spacehog announce their first album in eleven years, As It Is On Earth, along with a host of spring dates. A summer tour with the Psychedelic Furs follows, taking them from Florida up America's east coast and onto their adopted hometown of New York City, and now, with the LP arriving on September 30th, they set sights on Britain, to play a host of live dates in towns and cities across the country.
After more than a decade in hibernation, two years of which were spent in the studio alongside Bryce Goggin (who produced their debut long player, 'Resident Alien' and 'The Chinese Album'), Spacehog's fourth LP- which comes on Hogspace Records, has already turned notable heads Stateside, with praise coming from Rolling Stone and USA Today's Pop Candy, to name but two. Born of the same stuff that first marked this troupe out as fine purveyors of powerful, commanding and anthemic indie fare, with influences from T-Rex to Queen and David Bowie audible, the contents are sure to make those forthcoming shows all the more enticing if you value real, gritty but slightly psychedelic, glam inflected guitar music.
