The Crank That (Soulja Boy) hitmaker has been a main castmember on the VH1 series since its launch in 2014, when his on/off relationship with Nia Riley and his struggle to remain faithful on tour were first chronicled on TV.

He remained a part of the show for three seasons, with the third currently on air in the U.S., but Soulja Boy has since announced he will not be returning for another run because he has outgrown the show.

The 26-year-old took to Twitter to share the news with fans, announcing he is already lining up his next small screen project - although he did share any specific details.

"Beautiful things happen when you distance yourself from negativity," he posted on Monday (03Oct16), before declaring: "I've decided to quit Love and hip hop. I feel my brand is too big for the show now. It's too ratchet (ghetto). I have my own new tv show coming soon!"
