The rapper documented the painful treatment in a video posted on Instagram.com, and wrote, "Recently I've been going through this process to get my tattoos removed, wanted to share the actual procedure. I appreciate all my friends, fans, and family. We have to strive to be a better person everyday."

The Crank That hitmaker, who got the tattoo in the middle of his forehead in 2012, is seen wincing in pain as the procedure begins, but videos later posted on Snapchat show him laughing and joking with friends while wearing a bandage across his head.

Soulja Boy became the victim of fraud earlier this month (Dec15), and was scammed out of $175,000 (£109,000), according to editors at Buzzfeed.com. Fraudsters used fake and stolen credit cards to buy the rapper's hoverboards, which sell for $1,500 each (£937), and he now has to cover costs and reimburse the money to victims and credit card companies.
