The latest X-Men film hits cinemas in May (16), and reunites fan favourites Jennifer, Michael Fassbender and James MCAvoy. Sophie, 20, is new to the franchise, but having made her name in hit TV series Game of Thrones, she quickly found some admirers on set.
“Jennifer was like, ‘I’m so excited to work with you, I love Game Of Thrones!’” Sophie smiled to British magazine The Edit.
“She was amazing, a lot of fun. But as she was shooting other movies she went back and forth on weekends, so while the rest of us went out partying she had to work. We all felt bad for her, she was exhausted.”
Game of Thrones is back for its sixth season later this month (Apr16), with fans already excited to see what’s to come. It marks the first time the series goes off-piste from the original books by George R. R. Martin.
Sophie plays Sansa Stark, and after seven years in the role, the British actress has become totally entwined with the fictional character.
“I really care about this character — she’s like my best friend, my other half,” she admitted. “I worry for Sansa because she’s a real person to me.
“I’m constantly saying to David and Dan (Benioff and Weiss, the show’s creators), ‘What’s going to happen to her? You have to tell me!’ I almost think about her more than I do myself. It’s like a split personality. Sometimes I slip into her by mistake.”
Despite her GoT duties, Sophie is landing more and more film work. As well as X-Men, the star has been announced to star in Mary Shelley's Monster alongside Jeremy Irvine.
