Solange Knowles has been signed up by Next Model Management.

Solange - the younger sister of 'Halo' hitmaker Beyonce - says she is thrilled with her latest appointment and can't wait to work with Next.

She told vogue.co.uk: "Artistic expression is invaluable to me in all walks of my career and I am so excited to continue to develop this path along with such an amazing team at Next Model Management. I feel right at home working with people who have worked beside such creative forces in the world."

Next global publicist Katy Moseley said: "We are delighted to be working with Solange. She is hugely popular and beautiful, with so many brilliant ideas and creative energy."

Solange has previously been the face of fashion line House of Dereon - which Beyonce and her mother Tina launched in 2006 - but stepped down because the outfits are something she wouldn't normally wear.

She said: "I initially was involved as the spokesperson, but the clothes just didn't reflect my personal style and I decided to hand that over."

Despite not being a fan of Beyonce's fashion line, the mother-of-one loves the bedding collection she and Tina have done and would like to promote that.

She said: "That's the great thing about my family. We work together so closely that if something's not working out, we can be honest about it and there won't be any grudges or issues. I will say though, they did a bedding line that I am extremely in love with and I was like, 'Can I model that... in my house?"
