Actress Sofia Vergara has thrown her support behind her businessman boyfriend's aspirations to run for office in Florida, because politics is "his passion".
Banking heir Nick Loeb revealed he was considering the career move last week (ends22Jul11), although he is in no rush to make a decision until after he accompanies the Modern Family star to the Emmy Awards in September (11).
But Vergara has given her beau her full support - and she's convinced he would make an "amazing" senator.
She tells People.com, "I don't know if it will really happen, but I'm very excited for him. If he decides to do it, I think he will be amazing. My boyfriend is very inclined to politics and that's his passion."
And Loeb, who previously tried to run for office in 2009, can count on the beauty to boost votes on the campaign trail.
Vergara says, "Of course I will help him, why not? I support him with everything. If that's what he wants to do in his life, I will be there for him."
Loeb's last bid for Senate was cut short when he was forced to pull out of the race to deal with a divorce.
