LATEST: British rockers Snow Patrol have been forced to scrap their entire US tour after frontman Gary Lightbody was told he can't sing again until mid-July (06). Fans of the group were hoping that Lightbody, who is suffering from a serious throat infection, would be able to return to the road later this month (JUN06), but he has been told by medics that his recovery will take longer. The bad news has prompted the group to postpone all their US dates. A spokesman for the band says, "After seeing his throat specialist on Thursday, Gary Lightbody has been instructed not to sing again until mid-July. "Therefore, all the sold out US summer tour dates have been postponed. The band are rescheduling all dates, and the shows will take place between September 6th-30th. The new run will also include stops in San Diego and Las Vegas. "Snow Patrol truly regret any inconvenience this causes their fans, and can't wait to see everyone in the Fall."
