LATEST: Snow Patrol's planned performance at the Brit Awards next month (FEB06) has been thrown into doubt after drummer JOHNNY QUINN broke his arm in a snowboarding accident.
The RUN hitmakers have enlisted the services of longtime friend GRAHAM HOPKINS to replace Quinn for some planned show, but have already cancelled their appearance at the Meteor Irish Music Awards next week (begs29JAN07) and concerts in Europe.
Manager JAZZ SUMNER says, "Johnny has said he'll play the Brits, even if he has to go on stage in plaster. But on TV things have to be right.
"He's been told by doctors that he'll be out of action for between four to six weeks."
The group have been nominated for Best British Group and Best British Single.
Last year (06), Snow Patrol were forced to cancel several European shows when bassist PAUL WILSON suffered an injury, and the band also had to cut a number of American appearances when singer Gary Lightbody lost his voice.
