Following the release of their fifth album Snow Patrol have announced a UK tour for February and March 2009.

Having recently undertaken a whistle-stop tour of four cities - Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh and London - in two days to launch their new album A Hundred Million Suns, the Northern Irish indie band have confirmed a 13-date jaunt for next year.

The Taking Back The Cities Tour will kick off at Bournemouth's BIC arena and include stops in Scotland, Ireland, the north and midlands and the London O2 Arena.

And with the Chasing Cars stars keen to celebrate their roots, the series of shows will conclude at the Odyssey in Belfast.

Tickets are available priced £30 and £32.50 in London plus booking fee of £3.00/£3.25 and go on sale at at 09:00 GMT on Friday October 31st.

The pre-sale passes are available on the band's official site for just two days before they go on general sale on Friday November 7th,
