A woman whom Snoop Dogg has accused of trying to extort $5 million (GBP2.6 million) from him is now suing the rapper for sexual assault.

In papers filed on Friday (28JAN05) in Los Angeles Superior Court, EMMY-winning Six Feet Under make-up artist KYLIE BELL, 36, claims that after a January 2003 taping of US chat show Jimmy Kimmel LIVE, Snoop Dogg - real name CALVIN BROADUS - and several associates raped her in his dressing room.

Bell alleges she was drugged and sexually assaulted by Snoop, 32, and four other men after drinking what a member of the hip-hop star's posse told her was champagne.

Bell names Broadus, TV network ABC, comedian JIMMY KIMMEL's show, and ABC's parent company, the WALT DISNEY COMPANY as defendants and seeks $25 million (GBP13.1 million) in damages.

Snoop Dogg sued Bell in December (04), accusing her of trying to extort $5 million from him to keep her allegations secret.

Four months after the alleged incident, according to the complaint, Bell told the Kimmel show she was contacting the police, soon after which she began having her living expenses paid through an ABC investment subsidiary.

Once those checks stopped flowing, Bell claims Broadus began paying her expenses, and that by October (04) the rapper's lawyers opened negotiations with the woman's attorneys. Bell's lawsuit alleges that the negotiations eventually fell through.
