Funk Legend Sly Stone Had A Hearing Into His Ongoing Royalties Case Postponed On Friday (20mar15) After His Lawyer Was Attacked Outside The Courthouse.
The Sly And The Family Stone star won a $5 million (£3.1 million) lawsuit against ex-manager Gerald Goldstein and former attorney Glenn Stone in January (15) after they were found guilty of depriving the Everyday People hitmaker of royalties from his songs for years.
They were due to attend a follow-up hearing on Friday, but the date had to be rescheduled after his lawyer was confronted outside the courthouse by a woman claiming to be Diana Ross, who bizarrely accused him of trying to land Stone behind bars.
The unidentified female allegedly threw a punch at Stone's lawyer, leaving him with a cut to the face. She was quickly arrested by police and booked for misdemeanour battery.
