Funk icon Sly Stone has entered rehab in California.
The news comes less than a month after the eccentric star opened up about his intentions to get clean after years of drink and drug addictions.
The veteran singer, who is currently homeless and living out of a van, is desperate to change his fortunes and claims he's ready to get clean and get back to making music.
At the end of September (11) he told Tmz.com he had been clean for "about a week and a half" and that he was getting serious about rehab.
And now sources confirm Stone has checked in to an unidentified clinic.
An insider tells PerezHilton.com, "Sly has fallen on very hard times in the past few years. Sly will be in rehab for at least the next 90 days, and he is committed to getting sober."
