Stars from the world of rock including Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, Anthrax's Scott Ian and Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro are set to play a charity gig for Africa later this month (Nov11).
Rocker/actor Henry Rollins has recruited a star-studded line-up for a benefit show in Los Angeles in aid of Drop In The Bucket, an organisation which funds the construction of water wells and sanitation systems at schools in sub-Saharan Africa.
Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo and members of Rob Zombie's band will also perform at the event at the Avalon Hollywood venue on 30 November (11), and Taylor admits the cause is close to his heart.
He says, "Millions of people live without water on a daily basis when we as Americans treat it like used tissue paper. It's only common sense to think that if I can do something to not only help, but also raise awareness, then that's exactly what I'm going to do.
"Drop In The Bucket is one of the most important and selfless causes I have ever had the privilege to be a part of. And I can only hope that I do some good for it."
