Slipknot have pulled out of this weekend's Reading And Leeds Festivals after drummer Joey Jordison broke his ankle.
The band issued a statement today stating that it was with "huge disappointment and regret" that they had been forced to cancel their imminent European appearances.
The band were also due to appear at Austria's 2 Days A Week festival (28) and Germany's Area 4 festival (29).
In the statement the band said that Jordison had been advised to rest for four to six weeks following his injury.
Slipknot had also announced details of a UK tour, set to begin on December 1, earlier today. They are still scheduled to play the dates.
