Hellraising rocker Slash started his downward spiral into alcoholism when he was just 12 years old, after discovering a secret stash of his father's extra-strength booze. The British-born former Guns N' Roses star can pinpoint the moment he began his long love affair with alcohol, at a party his father threw, that he and childhood pal-turned-bandmate Steven Adler sneaked into.
Slash - real name Saul Hudson - tells Blender magazine, "I was 12 or 13 - my dad and a bunch of his friends had a party and made this insane punch. Steven and myself got into the punch. And I learned that the cure to a hangover was to keep drinking. That's probably what kickstarted the years and years of binge drinking. It turned into a 24/7 party from that day on."
