Rocker Slash has been feted for his music skills with the 2011 Lifetime Achievement Award from bosses at Guitar International magazine.
The former Guns N' Roses star was given the coveted title as part of the publication's annual awards, which praise artists who "have deepened our passion for our favourite music, as well as entertained and inspired guitarists around the world."
Slash was so pleased with the title, he offered up his thanks in a post on his page.
He writes, "A huge thank u (sic) to Guitar International for the '11 Lifetime Achievement Award. I'm honoured & humbled to say the least."
Blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa won the Guitarist of the Year prize, while Chickenfoot picked up Guitar Album of the Year for Chickenfoot Iii.
