Sir Paul McCartney surprised students in his native Liverpool, England earlier this week (begs20Jun11) by giving them a masterclass in music.
The Beatles star helped create the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (Lipa) in the 1990s and is the university's lead patron.
He visited pupils unannounced at the centre this week to give them a class and one-on-one sessions to help hone their musical skills, according to the Liverpool Echo newspaper.
News of the musician's visit to the facility quickly spread online and extra security had to be drafted in as crowds gathered outside.
