Sir Paul McCartney's 9/11-themed film The Love We Make is to premiere on U.S. TV on the eve of the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that rocked America.
Legendary documentarian Albert Maysles and Bradley Kaplan captured the peace-loving former Beatle walking through the streets of New York City in the aftermath of the tragedy as he was planning a benefit concert at Madison Square Garden.
The documentary, which will debut on cable channel Showtime in September (10Sep11), features concert performances by David Bowie and Mick Jagger.
Showtime president David Nevins insists viewers will be captivated by the emotionally-charged film.
He tells Variety, "Paul MCCartney and Albert Maysles are each, in their own fields, iconic artists whose collaboration goes back more than 40 years. In the days following 9/11, they joined forces once again to make a very personal film that is a real testament to the spirit and resiliency of New York City."
