A Beatle, a modfather and a Foo Fighter are among the celebrity DJs set to get behind the microphone on Radio 1 this month.
Sir Paul McCartney, Paul Weller and Dave Grohl are among the legends given their own slot for ten nights to celebrate Radio 1's 40th birthday.
Among the other guest DJs who will play the tunes that mean something to them are Oasis' Noel Gallagher, Gwen Stefani and Ozzy Osbourne.
Sheffield chart-toppers Arctic Monkeys have also been lined up for the celebrations, but it is likely to be the appearance of Sir Paul which will create the most interest.
The former Wings frontman will kick off ten consecutive weeknights of celeb hosts when he takes to the studio on Monday September 17th.
Radio 1's first ever broadcast was on Sunday September 30th 1967 and 40 years to the day the station will dedicate the entire proceedings to birthday celebrations.
A special day of shows will include The A-Z of Radio documentary and a musical tribute to the late John Peel, hosted by Lord Of The Rings star Elijah Wood, who is a self-confessed fan of the new music guru.
