The winners of this year's Britain's Got Talent contest are already millionaires, according to a report from The Mirror today (July 5, 2012). Pudsey the dog, along with his owner Ashleigh, were half way there already, with their prize money from the show, which totalled 500k and now, in addition to that hefty sum, they have topped up their impressive earnings, via a deal to star in a pantomime this Christmas and a book deal to tell their story, to a staggering 1 million pounds.

Their fee for appearing in the panto was around 150k, according to the report. A source close to Pudsey and Ashleigh revealed that they "have a panto deal and are heading out to America this month for chat show appearances, including a slot on the hugely popular Jay Leno show that could make them global stars." They will be performing in DICk Whittington, at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking, Surrey. Add to that a book deal worth a reported 350k and they will be laughing all the way to the bank. Or barking, in Pudsey's case. The book deal with Little, Brown will see them share a publisher with JK Rowling for their autobiography, which will be published in time for Christmas "and will tell the story of how Pudsey became such an amazing performing dog". The pair stunned Simon Cowell and his fellow judges when starring on this year's edition of the talent show.

Ashleigh is clearly delighted at their newfound attention - as well as their new bank balance, we assume - and said "We are so excited to be performing in our first pantomime. I can't wait to take to the stage with Pudsey. Drama and dance have been a big part of my life for many years and my gran has taken us to the pantomime every Christmas for as long as I can remember."
