The Australian musician, who has previously written tracks for Christina Aguilera, Shakira and Rihanna, admits she's pleasantly surprised by the positive reaction to the dance single, although she is convinced it would have been perfect for the Believe icon, who is currently working on her eighth studio album.
In a Twitter.com post, Sia writes, "I'm shocked she-wolf is doing well. I wrote that for Cher. Can't you hear me giving my (trying to imitate) Cher? I'm giving it my Cher. I love Cher. It's so Cher!"
She Wolf (Falling to Pieces) isn't the first tune Sia has tried to give away - French DJ Guetta had to persuade her not to pass on their hit Titanium after the singer initially refused to be the "face of the record" and attempted to recruit Mary J. Blige and Katy Perry to sing on it instead.
