GARBAGE frontwoman Shirley Manson has landed a regular role on US television series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
The 41-year-old flame-haired singer is set to play Catherine Weaver, the CEO of the high tech company Cyberdyne in the show, which is a spin-off of the hugely successful TERMINATOR movies starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
According to Hollywood Reporter, the show was the highest-rated new scripted series of the 2007-2008 season.
The second series of the hit show is due to air on the Fox network in autumn and stars British actress Lena Headey, Thomas Dekker, Brian Austin Green, and Summer Glau.
Manson appears to be busy on all fronts, with her debut solo album scheduled for release later this year and reports of a new GARBAGE album in the pipeline.
The singer's forthcoming solo record has seen her collaborate with the likes of Jack White, Billy Corgan, Beck and James Bond soundtrack composer David Arnold.
