Hollywood star Sharon Stone has slammed US President George W Bush for using media "sensationalism" to stir up support for America's war in Iraq.

The Basic Instinct actress believes Bush should take a more hands-on approach to leadership, aspiring to become more like the legendary American President THEODORE ROOSEVELT, who commanded The Rough Riders in Cuba through the Spanish American War before leading the US from 1901 to 1909.

Speaking about Bush, 47-year-old Stone says, "He's no Roosevelt, is he?

"I think until people start to be more thoughtful, they will continue to seek out sensationalism in order to feel alive."
