Sharon Osbourne has donated $15,000 (£10,000) to a young father who has been given months to live after he was diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer.
The music manager, who won her battle against colon cancer in 2002, was moved by the story of Ryan Glenny, 23, who married his girlfriend Cola from his hospital bed in Kent, England last week (begs16Dec13) after discovering his treatment had failed.
A friend of Glenny's set up an online fundraising page in a bid to gather money to help Cola and the couple's two kids, Ralph and Pearl, after Glenny - who is known by his middle name Felix - has passed away.
Osbourne handed over the generous sum and left a message of support on the page, writing, "Dear Felix, from a survivor, never give up the fight and hope. God Bless you and your family. Love, Sharon Osbourne."
The fundraising page has since raised more than $69,000 (£46,000).
Cola, 23, says, "It has really put my mind at rest because I know I can look after my children now. I'm so grateful to everyone that's donated.
"To get a donation from Sharon Osbourne herself is incredible. It's a huge amount. I honestly can't believe the level of kindness that both friends and strangers have shown."
