The 'America's Got Talent' judge has decided to invest in the Ben Westwood picture of her 24-year-old offspring, which sees Kelly clad in a risque costume.
A source said: "It's a close-up of Kelly wrapped up in red rope, with the names of her parents on."
Other works of art created by Ben - the son of fashion designer Vivienne Westwood - have seen people's faces superimposed onto different bodies, usually wearing bondage clothing.
Kelly is not the only star to be immortalised in an unusual portrait.
The amount Damien paid for the piece is unknown, but artist Jonathan Yeo revealed he had offered the proceeds from the sale of a $20 poster of the portrait, which is entitled 'Paris, 2008', to the heiress.
In May 2007, Paris - who was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in September 2006 - was sculpted as a naked corpse in a bizarre campaign warning about the dangers of drink driving.
