Model Shannon Tweed stormed off the set of a TV interview with longtime boyfriend Gene Simmons when the Kiss rocker joked about his fabled philandering ways.
The couple has been at odds ever since Simmons posed for a photo with two blondes outside a Los Angeles restaurant.
Tweed had hinted that she thought her man had bedded the girls and the two fell out over the drama on their reality TV series Gene Simmons Family Jewels.
Earlier this week (13Jun11), the couple had a tense interview on U.S. morning show Today and on TV personality Joy Behar's Headline News talk show, which aired on Wednesday night (15Jun11), Tweed decided enough was enough.
The couple argued throughout the segment, with Tweed calling her partner "a pig", but a clip of Alice Cooper talking about the rock star's womanising ways proved too much for Tweed. After Simmons joked about his reputation as a philandering ladies' man, she stood up, announced, "It's over. It's so rude of you to joke about it," and walked off.
Behar thought the drama was a ruse to promote the new seventh season of the couple's TV show, but quickly realised it wasn't.
She told a visibly upset Simmons, "I thought you were kidding and I see you are not," and her rock star guest said, "No," and yelled out, "Shannon, come back."
Talking about the TV bust-up on her magazine show The View on Thursday morning (16Jun11), Behar revealed she's still not sure if the drama was all a publicity stunt, admitting she was impressed by Tweed's acting skills if it was: "She should get an Oscar."
Simmons addressed reports of a bust-up in a series of tweets posted during the premiere of his reality TV season on Tuesday night (14Jun11).
He wrote, "Sometimes it takes stepping back and seeing yourself like this to see what missteps you might have made... I hate seeing her (Tweed) like this. Hurts twice as much when I am the reason."
On the show, the couple is seen working through problems with a therapist.
