A small calamity was narrowly avoided when Sean Paul realised he needed a clothes iron before taking to the stage, and duly dispatched one of the show crew to find one. Thankfully an iron was located and he took to the stage sharply dressed in a T-shirt, waistcoat, chains and sporting his new Mohawk haircut.
As well as playing his older hits such as 'Gimme the Light' and 'We Be Burnin'' he performed songs from his new album 'Tomahawk Technique' including 'Got 2 Luv U' and 'She Doesn't Mind'.
Before the show Sean told BANG Showbiz: ''This is my first time in Ireland, and I love it already, and people are going to get a storming set, I'm bringing the big tracks and the new tracks together tonight.''
Pixie had started proceedings earlier in the evening, with 'Boys and Girls' and 'What Do You Take Me For' before a stripped section in which she performed 'Mamma Do' and 'Kiss the Stars'.
Rizzle Kicks then gave an energetic performance featuring their hits 'Mama Do the Hump' and 'Down With the Trumpets' which left them both flat out of breath by the end of their set.
Sean then performed, followed by Katy B, the first artist to take to the stage after dark, which suited her more club-orientated sound.
Olly closed proceedings, winning the crowd over instantly with his charm, and playing a 40 minute set which included his hits 'Thinking of Me', 'Dance With Me Tonight' and 'Oh My Goodness'. The concert ended in a ticker tape explosion with 'Heart Skips a Beat', which saw him joined on stage by Rizzle Kicks.
Titanic Sounds was staged in collaboration with Belfast City Council and Northern Ireland Tourist Board, and will be shown on MTV music in the UK on May 5.
