Sir Sean Connery has donated a kilt he famously donned for a catwalk show to a charity auction.
The former Bond star hit headlines in 2009 when he paraded down the runway at the Dressed to Kilt event in New York wearing the tartan garment.
It is one of a series of lots going under the hammer in the Big Apple on Monday (02Apr12) to raise money for good causes. The money from the sale of Connery's kilt will be split between a children's radio appeal in his native Scotland and a U.S. war veterans' charity.
