Sean Combs was left fuming during a MICHAEL JACKSON DJ set at a BET Awards after-party - because famous revellers were having too much fun following the legend's death.
The Sunday night (28Jun09) ceremony in Los Angeles was dedicated to the King of Pop and featured tributes from the late star's sister Janet Jackson, as well as Beyonce Knowles and Jamie Foxx.
Celebrities including Queen Latifah, Oscar-nominee Taraji P. Henson, and Wesley Snipes, all flocked to the after-party at L.A. nightspot MyHouse following the show.
As Combs took to the DJ stand, he started to spin Jackson's beloved hit Man In The Mirror in homage to the late singer.
But the music mogul took offence as the floor began to fill up with enthusiastic dancers - and quit his set to demand a minute's silence out of respect.
According to the New York Daily News, he shouted at revellers, "While you guys are talking and laughing, you're not hearing his words. You're not listening to his words. I need you to hear what he's saying! Listen to the message that he is telling us."
