Seal's aides have hit back at reports suggesting the soul singer accused his estranged wife Heidi Klum of cheating on him with a bodyguard in a recent interview.
Klum's representatives have taken aim at the Brit after he criticised her alleged new relationship with minder Martin Kristen, and while Seal isn't backing down from his comments, he's keen to clear up one miscommunication - the romance was not behind the couple's marriage split in January (12).
Asked for his reaction to the new romance reports, Seal previously told Tmz.com, "You know that's what happens when two people separate. They move on and that generally means other people in their lives. I certainly don't expect Heidi to all of a sudden become a nun. But as always my main priority is the emotional wellbeing of our children.
"To be quite honest, if there is going to be somebody else in their lives, I'd much rather it was a familiar face. I guess the only thing I would have preferred is that... Whilst I didn't expect any better from him, I would have thought Heidi would have shown a little bit more class... before deciding to fornicate with the help, as it were."
He then added, "I guess you now all have the answer that you've been looking for for the past seven months", hinting his ex may have been unfaithful.
But now the singer's handlers have spoken out to Us Weekly to clear up his comments, stating, "Seal would like to clarify that he was not implying his wife was cheating while they were together, but he was merely pointing out that their separation and divorce were not final and they are still legally married.
"These guys (paparazzi) bombarded him and were in his face. He was exhausted, which is why he wants to clarify what he said... He doesn't like now being made into the bad guy here."
