Hollywood bosses have confirmed they are in talks to give Scarlett Johansson her own superhero movie by bringing the Black Widow back to the big screen in a solo outing.
The actress made her debut as the sexy superspy in this year's (10) Iron Man 2 and will reprise her role for The Avengers film, an ensemble picture featuring a star-studded cast including Robert Downey, Jr., Samuel L. Jackson and Mark Ruffalo.
And Johansson could be slipping back into costume once again as executives at Marvel Studios make plans for a Black Widow movie after the release of The Avengers.
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige told reporters at a press conference, "We've already started discussions with Scarlett about the idea of a solo movie and have begun putting together concepts, but The Avengers comes first."
Johansson previously admitted she "would be happy to don the cat suit again and, you know, carry the torch" in her own superhero blockbuster.
The Avengers is slated for a summer 2012 release.
