Scarlett Johansson believes age isn't important in a relationship - and can foresee becoming romantically involved with a man in his sixties.

The 19-year-old actress, who has starred opposite older men Bill Murray and Colin Firth in Lost In Translation and A GIRL WITH PEARL EARRING respectively, views age as unimportant when it comes to matters of the heart.

Johansson says, "A guy who's 40, 50 or 60 years old - why not? I don't think you can control who you fall in love with.

"I don't think that age is a problem when you're having a fling. But when it comes to establishing a long relationship, that age difference becomes more evident and one of you usually ends up throwing in the towel."

As for her ideal man, Johansson considers co-star JOHN TRAVOLTA - who she stars with in forthcoming movie A LOVE SONG FOR BOBBY LONG - the perfect candidate.

She adds, "He has everything that I like in a man: strength and vulnerability. During the filming of the movie, he almost adopted me."
