American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson portrays the legal eagle in new drama The People v. O.J. Simpson, which debuted in America on Tuesday night (02Feb16), and Clark admits she found it tough to watch.

"The whole experience of that trial was a nightmare," she told Entertainment Weekly. "It tore me up... I watched justice get thwarted from almost day one."

Clark failed in her attempt to convict Simpson, who was found not guilty in the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, and she wasn't looking forward to reliving the worst year of her life.

"It felt pretty awful, not because of anything the series might have done, just reinvoking all of the memories of it," she added. "This will never be entertaining to me. I watched it with my stomach in knots."

But she has nothing but praise for Paulson's portrayal: "What got me through it (drama) was being able to watch Sarah's performance," Marcia, who is now a top TV legal correspondent in America, said. "I've been a fan of hers for years. I just love her."

Paulson is part of the show's all-star cast, which also includes Cuba Gooding, Jr. as Simpson, David Schwimmer, Selma Blair, and John Travolta. The drama, created by former Glee mastermind Ryan Murphy, attempts to piece together all the things that went on behind the scenes during the 2005 murder trial.
