Sandra Bullock is likely to tread the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards.

The Oscar-winning actress - who has kept away from public appearances following revelations of her husband Jesse James' infidelity - will return to the spotlight at the event on June 6, E! Online reports.

The 45-year-old star is nominated for Best Female Performance for her portrayal of interior decorator Leigh Anne Tuohy in 'The Blind Side', against Kristen Stewart, Emma Watson, Zoe Saldana and Amanda Seyfried.

In addition she is also up for the Best Comedic Performance for the role of Margaret Tate in 'The Proposal'.

This year's MTV Movie Awards will be hosted by comedian Aziz Ansari, with performances coming from Christina Aguilera and Katy Perry.

Robert Pattinson and his 'The Twilight Saga' co-stars Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart will also present a preview clip of the third movie in the franchise, 'Eclipse', at the event.

Awards will be given by Hollywood stars including Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz and Zac Efron.
