Sandra Bullock is set to play Clint Eastwood's daughter in 'Trouble with the Curve'.

The 47-year-old actress - who won an Oscar for her performance in 'The Blind Side' in 2010 - has entered negotiations to take on the role, which will mark Clint's return to acting after he said he had gone into retirement.

The film tells the tale of a baseball scout who is coming to the end of his career and is also battling blindness, which leads him to go on one last trip to Atlanta with his daughter (Sandra), to see an up-and-coming star of the sport.

Robert Lorenz - Clint's long-term producing partner - is directing the film, and Sandra is his top choice to take on the role,

Since starring in 'The Blind Side', Sandra has been lying low - divorcing husband Jesse James and adopting baby boy Louis - but will next be seen in 'Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close' with Tom Hanks and Viola Davis and the sci-fi drama 'Gravity', directed by Alfonso Cuaron.
