Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan Has Been Told He Must Wait Two Weeks For A Court In India To Deliver Its Verdict In His Hit-and-run Case.
The revered actor has been on trial for a year over a 2002 car crash in which he is accused of mounting a sidewalk in Mumbai and ploughing into a bakery, killing one victim and injuring four others.
Khan denies the charge and alleged during the trial that his chauffeur was at the wheel at the time of the accident, but prosecutors maintain the actor was responsible and was drink-driving.
On Tuesday (21Apr15), a judge in the case told the court that officials will deliver the verdict on 6 May (15). Khan faces up to 10 years in prison if he is convicted of a charge of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
