Ryan Seacrest will earn $55 million this year, according to the Hollywood Reporter. 36-year-old Ryan Seacrest, who was recently named the most powerful man in reality television, will be paid handsomely for his roles on American Idol, his morning radio show and for his producing jobs.
Seacrest is reportedly reaping the rewards of his burgeoning empire, which is likely to expand over the next year. The television host is keen to venture into scripted shows and currently has a film project in development. The bulk of the 36-year-old's earnings come from his radio contract with Clear Channel, which is reportedly worth $20 million a year. He is also paid around $15 million from his television deal with American Idol's parent company Ckx and has a "mega-deal" with NBC Universal for his television projects. Seacrest also earns from his work on specials such as 'DICk Clark's New Years's Rockin Eve' and for his brand partnerships with Coca-Cola, Microsoft and 'Proctor & Gamble'. When asked what title should be placed next to his name on business cards, Ryan simply said, "busy or tired".
