Ryan Reynolds has revealed he was in a coma for three days after being hit by a drunk driver in his hometown of Vancouver, Canada. The Hollywood actor, currently starring in 'The Change-Up', was rushed to a nearby hospital following the incident which took place in his teenage years, reports Ctv News.
After partying with friends at a local bar, Reynolds decided to leave his car and walk home, only to be hit by a drunk driver. Recalling the incident, the 'Green Lantern' star said, "When I was 19 I was drinking.I was at a bar and I had a few drinks and I thought, 'You know what I'm going to do? I'm going to leave my car here, be responsible.' I started to walk home and I was hit by a drunk driver". Ryan explained the devastating aftermath, recalling how he "broke every bone" in the left side of his body, adding, "I woke up three days later. And I remember my dad sitting there [with] a vomit tray. I guess I had been heaving in my unconscious. And nothing says love like painting someone with three-day-old Gin Rummies. Just soaked the man head to toe in my vomit".
Despite his status as one of Hollywood's biggest action stars, Reynolds claims the incident has left his body, "a rickety, broken mess". The 34-year-old recently completed filming the action-thriller 'Safe House', with Denzel Washington and ROBERT PATRICK.
