Ryan Reynolds has reportedly dislocated his shoulder.

The 33-year-old actor is said to have suffered the injury while filming for his forthcoming movie 'Green Lantern', in which he plays the titular comic book hero.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: "He is in lots of pain. He's been keeping ice on it."

A spokesperson for the star has not commented on the reports, but insiders have played down the claims, insisting he has a "minor injury".

The incident has not caused any disruptions to filming on the movie.

Ryan's co-star Blake Lively has previously admitted that the shooting of 'Green Lantern' is very physical.

She said: "the fights are close and dirty. I'm 40 feet in the air, spiralling around. That's the best workout you can ever do because it's all core. You do that for ten minutes and you should see your body the next day! It's so exhilarating, so thrilling, and nauseating."

The 'Green Lantern' follows a pilot called Hal Jordan (played by Ryan) who is given a power ring and battery by a dying alien. By receiving the gifts, the otherwise ordinary man is instantly transformed into Green Lantern - a man who is "utterly honest and born without fear".
