Soccer fan Russell Brand will have a leading role in the revamp of English sporting anthem THREE LIONS, when the tune is released this summer (10) - according to U.K. reports.
The song was originally recorded by the Lightning Seeds and comedians David Baddiel and Frank Skinner for the English national team's 1996 European Championships campaign, and it became a huge hit.
The track was re-released ahead of England's World Cup bids in 1998, 2002 and 2006 and now the tune has been re-recorded - and West Ham United fan Brand will add a verse of his own, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper.
Robbie Williams, who appeared in the video for the original hit, is also said to be part of the revamp.
