Following a string of sell-out shows, Rumer has announced details of her first ever UK headline tour. She will play four dates nationwide in December, commencing at Birmingham's Glee Club on December 13 and including a show at London's Shepherds Bush Empire on December 17. The announcement coincides with the confirmation that Rumer will perform on this week's edition of 'Later...With Jools Holland', alongside acts including Scissor Sisters, Brandon Flowers and Grinderman.
Details of Rumer's winter trek come after an eventful fortnight. She played her first ever headlining show at London's Bloomsbury Theatre on September 14, gaining rave reviews in the process. Amongst them, the Independent wrote that she is "clearly well on her way to stardom...Rumer is stunning", whilst The Times stated that "'Slow' already sounded like a classic pop moment. The first, no doubt, of many to come." Following the Bloomsbury show, Rumer announced a date at London's Tabernacle on November 2nd, a day after the release of her much-anticipated solo effort, 'Seasons Of My Soul'. This show has now sold out, with all tickets being snatched up on the morning of release.
There are, however, further opportunities to catch Rumer live. She is set to support Joshua Radin nationwide through October, and will also play a host of dates with Jools Holland and his band (culminating in her biggest shows to date, at The Royal Albert Hall on November 26 and November 27). Rumer was also announced last week as the special guest of Sir Elton John at his forthcoming BBC Radio 2 Electric Proms concert (London's Roundhouse, October 28). In a unique performance for the BBC, scheduled to kick-off the annual festival, the multi Grammy Award winning superstar is teaming up with his mentor, Leon Russell, to celebrate their classic songs. They will be joined on stage by Rumer and Plan B, in a performance that will be broadcast live BBC Radio 2, and form part of 'A Night In With Sir Elton John': an evening dedicated to the man himself on BBC Two (Saturday October 30).
Tickets for Rumer's December tour will go on sale this Friday (September 24th) at 9am from Rumer's website
