The couple have been dating on-and-off since meeting on the set of Game of Thrones in 2012, but they only confirmed their romance in April (16) when they made their red carpet debut together at the Olivier Awards in London.
They played lovers Ygritte and Jon Snow until Rose was killed off in 2014, but she is no hurry to team up with him onscreen again because she would rather forge her own career path rather than be constantly associated with him.
“I think we leave it at that. We had such a fabulous time working together on Thrones," she told Standard Online. “I think it’s important to do your own projects that mean a lot to you individually rather than be associated with someone else. I’m a big believer in doing your own thing.”
The 29-year-old recently told Sky News that she had "no idea" Kit's character would be brought back to life after being killed off in the season five finale, saying, "I was just as surprised as the rest of the world when the man woke back up again."
However, Kit, also 29, had previously said to Entertainment Weekly that she had been told at the beginning, adding, "She was allowed to know."
Kit recently gushed about falling in love with Rose on set in an interview with L'Uomo Vogue magazine by referencing a shoot in Iceland in season two.
"Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love," he said. "If you're already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love."
